Packing for a camping trip doesn’t have to be stressful when you know exactly how to make the most of your space. Although RVs don’t have as much room for storage as your home, they can still be very spacious if you know how to use the storage areas correctly. Below, we will show you our favorite RV tips and hacks for how to make the most of your RV storage space.
Use Command Hooks
My best advice for any camper is to use command hooks wherever possible. We use them in our kitchen for storing towels, keeping utensils within easy reach, and more. These are one of our favorite Rv hacks because they don’t damage the surfaces, so moving them without leaving a hole in your walls is easy.
Measure and Install Drawer Organizers
Next, I can’t overstress the value of drawer organizers. However, most RVs have drawers that are not a standard size, so be sure to measure before you go out and buy your drawer organizers. I recommend using these in the kitchen, the bathroom, and even the bedroom if you have a dresser.
Keep Baskets in Every Room
Another great hack we use in our RV is keeping baskets in every room. We have baskets in the bedroom for storing socks and underwear in the living room. We use baskets for slippers so you can easily switch out of your shoes when you come inside. We also have blanket baskets that can easily be taken outside to enjoy right around the campfire and in the bathroom. Baskets are an easy way to keep face towels and toilet paper or whatever else you might need in easy reach. We opt for baskets because they are easy to see, easy to use, and light weight.
Use Thin Hangers
Another one of my favorite hacks is to maximize your RVs wardrobe space by simply using thin coat hangers. You’ll be surprised how much more you can fit into a space when the hangers for your clothes aren’t taking up space in the closet. You can find them at just about any store or on Amazon.
